Computer and Software Engineer (C/SE) – Entry Position

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The C/S-E will lead, participate and undertake team work for imaging sensor component validation, integration and generic in-sensor real time communication flow. This professional will be part of the team responsible for the design, development and maintenance of among other things, communication flow and real time integration of sensor components (including but not limited to camera modules). Graduate experience with RTOS software development and knowledge of electronic device automation systems a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • C++ Visual Studio, Assembly Language, Internet Protocols, Windows, Win XP 64, UNIX, LINUX, Intel Primitives and RTOS.
  • MPI Parallel processing knowledge, Open MP, BASH Scripting, Imaging Automation and Process Control Systems.
  • Computer and software development/integration. Component assembly, repair, troubleshoot, and upgrade; Assembly, soldering, and testing of circuit boards; Use of digital multi-meter, oscilloscope, function generator and breadboard; Solid foundation in Software and Computer Engineering principles.
  • Course work in RTOS (real time operating systems) and C++ a must. Knowledge of C/SE software development under formal software engineering methods.
  • Graduate experience in completing C/SE Hardware or Software Project(s).
  • Demonstrated skills include software development, real time operating systems, project management, creativity in integrated software and hardware design, report/progress report writing, prototype construction and testing, and final project reports, presentations and delivery.
  • Real time networking equipment, networking/design protocols; knowledge and use of electrical and electronic measuring and time tools.
  • EDUCATION
    Bachelors of Science with Graduate Degree with a minimum GPA of 3.4 in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent C/S engineering education / experience.

    Senior Software Developer (SSD)

    SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
    The SSD will both lead development teams (20%) and perform development (80%) across Visual Intelligence’s software product line. The product line consists of real-time software controlling embedded sensor systems, imagery production software, and image processing solutions. This professional will lead life-cycle development, testing, configuration control, and maintenance of each of the software products interacting with a three-person algorithm development team. As a developer, the SSD will develop, integrate, and deliver software working in the Microsoft framework with languages included C++, C#, and VB (where needed) and in high performance computing environments including 64+ core computers, GPU’s, and aircraft embedded micro computers. We are looking for a broad-skilled developer that enjoys exercising skills in real-time programming, advanced image processing, high speed computing, and disciplined software lifecycle development. Also, this person would ideally setup and maintain the software lifecycle management systems and methods needed for the software team. We wish to take our software capabilities and products to a much higher level. Graduate experience with RTOS software development and knowledge of electro optical device automation systems desired.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Programming Languages & OS: C, C++, Visual Studio, VB, Assembly Language, Internet Protocols, Windows, UNIX and LINUX, Intel Primitives and RTOS.
      Experience using software life-cycle methods and tools including configuration management, version management, testing, and documentation.
    • Development Experience: Software development, design and integration. Solid foundation in Software and Computer Engineering programming principles a must; hands-on work in RTOS (real time operating systems) and multi core programming, GPU programming and knowledge of multi core, multi threaded Automation and Process Control Systems with embedded computing. Experience in Agile methods, configuration management, bug tracking, and software product release management highly desired.
    • Educational Experience: At least 5 years proven and demonstrable skills in modular (OO) software development, skilled in integrating software and hardware components, along with fast prototype construction and testing. Have practical knowledge of real time networking equipment/OS, networking protocols.
    • EDUCATION

        Photogrammetry Software Engineer / Chief Photgrammetrist

        SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
        Full-time position to perform C++ and Windows/LINUX programming as part of a team that is developing a new (patented) ‘Software Sensor Tool Kit Architecture’ and processing workflow (both on board and ground post processing). Software design and development requires in depth knowledge of photogrammetric mathematical models as well as their implementation for ortho production, change / anomaly detection, real time imagery fusion, point match for direct positioning, aerial triangulation fundamentals, calibration fundamentals and pattern recognition.

        Position requires evaluating existing software and developing new software using state-of-the-art hardware architectures. Work cooperatively with other team members to design, develop, implement and test integrated photogrammetric and image processing software workflows. Experience in implementing real time systems a plus.

        QUALIFICATIONS

        • Recent experience in designing, programming testing, implementing and deploying photogrammetric or equivalent software.
        • One or more of the following (C/C++, MFC, MicroStation MDL, AutoCAD ARX, ESRI, OpenGL).
        • The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of software engineering and a successful track record with product development and maintenance.
        • Photogrammetric (mapping) experience a must. Strong interpersonal skills.
        • EDUCATION
          Bachelor of Science or higher in a related computer field is required. Applicant must provide a code sample upon request for review. Applicant must provide at least three references for a routine background check indicating a stable work history and/or education.
